Job Description:

Apprentice site electricians will be responsible for assisting with the installation and testing of electrical control systems in a wide range of industrial environments, i.e. Quarry, Food Processing, Water Treatment, Recycling and Refrigeration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist to Install and test electrical control systems on plant and equipment in varied industrial settings.
  • Building on previous experience to carry out basic maintenance and fault-finding services on existing electrical control systems
  • Show an eagerness to learn paying close attention to safe working practices
  • Execution of specific job tasks to lead Electrician’s instruction.
  • Training and development of more junior members of the team.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service are upheld at all times

 

The Person:

Essential Criteria:

  • Part Qualified (minimum 2 years) Electrical Apprentice.
  • Ability to understand and interpret simple electrical schematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills emanating a positive attitude to interface with clients, suppliers and colleagues
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision using their own initiative as and when required
  • Willingness to travel and to assist with development of less experienced members of the team
